Binky Drama

This last Thursday, I kept finding Aleyah with a Binky in her mouth all day long, she is only supposed to have them for nap time and bed time. Anyways so I got fed up with it and decided "NO More Binky's". WOW (and "wow" does not cover it) that day was ROUGH..needless to say she did not take a nap on Thursday or Friday but slept okay through Thursday night, but last night (Friday) she woke up at 5:30 and I could not get her back to sleep, no amount of comfort seemed to comfort her...(even sleeping with mom and dad) so we got up today at 5:30 and I thought she is going to need a nap so after about an hour of crying and throwing a fit she fell asleep, finally. But I have not caved in to those blasted binky's. Such drama!!!

I am so sorry, that is no fun. Stay strong! It will be worth it in the end!!

Bryson still takes the binky too, I have been needing to get rid of it. We do the nap and bed time thing and then he has to put it in a special box that sits up high where he can't get it, but is able to put it in and take it out. That has worked for now, but we really need to get rid of it completely. If you have any other ideas cuz I don't think that the cold turkey thing will work to well for him. Good luck tho.

Oh Renee, we are going through the same thing. Yesterday Brayden just had his binky for naps and he didn't even need it to go to bed. That was our first day doing that! We thought we were out of it. But if you could hear what I can right now you...oh boy. B is trying to take a nap without the binky. I might cave in. What a mess these binkys cause!
